Stay where you are, a new documentary following Gamilaraay rapper The Kid LAROI's incredible rise to international stardom is dropping at the end of February. We've got a first look at it with the trailer landing on Thursday morning.

Kids Are Growing Up follows LAROI as Charlton Howard — a kid growing up across Waterloo in Sydney's inner east and western NSW town Broken Hill. And looks into the spaces where he began to record bars over beats to upload online as a teenager through to his family's move to Los Angeles to pursue his music career.

The doco also explores a more intimate side of LAROI; of him grappling with the death of his friend, collaborator and mentor, Juice WRLD, experiencing his first serious love (and heartbreak) and the mental health struggles that come with the pressures of fast-paced fame.

Capturing a very special moment in time – LAROI's coming of age and shift into adulthood – Kids Are Growing Up is set to see the Indigenous Australian star through the eyes of himself and those around him like Post Malone, Justin Bieber and more.

"I can't wait for audiences to see this behind-the-scenes portrayal of my journey, which perfectly encapsulates some of the most rewarding and challenging years of my life and career so far," The Kid LAROI said in a statement.

Kids Are Growing Up is slated to land on streaming on February 29 – a date as rare as the man himself. Check out the full trailer below!
